Discover the Rich Flavors of Indonesia at Roso Restaurant
Living in Bali with my family since 2022, I’ve had the pleasure of exploring the culinary landscape of this beautiful island. The latest addition to Sanur’s dining scene, Roso Restaurant at the Bali Beach Hotel, The Heritage Collection, offers a unique taste of Indonesia’s rich heritage through its diverse and traditional menu.
Roso, meaning 'flavour' or 'feeling' in Javanese, invites diners to experience the full spectrum of Indonesian cuisine. The restaurant draws inspiration from various regions, showcasing the unique tastes and traditions of Sumatra, Java, and Bali. Chef Prima, the Executive Sous Chef, explains that the concept is more than just a menu-it’s a celebration of Indonesia’s cultural diversity, rooted in the vision of its first president, Sukarno.
The interior design of Roso reflects this cultural richness, with textures and artistic details that tell the story of the archipelago. Guests can enjoy a chill atmosphere, perfect for a leisurely meal, whether indoors or outdoors. Roso is open daily for breakfast and dinner, making it a must-try for both expats and digital nomads looking to explore the flavors of Indonesia.
Raising a family in Bali since 2022. Originally from United Kingdom.
