Bali's Beach Clubs Just Got a New Beat: Alunê Takes Over at W Bali

Alunê, a new multi-sensorial beach club at W Bali, Seminyak, promises a refined and immersive experience with its designed space and menu that mirror the movement of the ocean and the changing colours of the Seminyak sunset.

Its name combines *alunan*, the Indonesian word for the flowing rhythm of waves and melody, with *lune*, French for moon. The idea is reflected throughout the space, designed by WELD to mirror the movement of the ocean and the changing colours of the Seminyak sunset.

Inside, an indoor bar becomes part of the spectacle: hand-cut mosaic tiles and backlit orange glass recreate the amber glow of golden hour, while a hand-carved timber counter moves between deep ocean blue and burnt orange. Roso Alicante marble, green quartzite and grey teakwood continue the palette, creating a space that feels connected to the beach beyond. For those seeking a more private setting, pool cabanas come complete with jacuzzis and uninterrupted ocean views.

The food at Alunê follows a similarly considered approach. Beach club favourites receive a refined treatment, from a lobster roll with spring onion and ikura to locally sourced catch-of-the-day sashimi served with ponzu, chilli oil and lime. Meanwhile, five colourful frozen bowls combine local fruits and superfoods around themes including hydration, strength, focus, energy and glow.

As afternoon fades, Alunê moves into its Sunset Ritual, bringing together golden-hour cocktails and live sound against the Indian Ocean backdrop. Signature pours include the creamy Ivory Tide, while wellness-minded guests can choose from six spirit-free mocktails inspired by moods such as Calm, Balance and Vitality.

Adding another dimension to the resort’s new lifestyle offering is Club Lacoste, introducing premium padel and a wellness-focused social space. Together, the two concepts create an easy full-day flow: movement in the afternoon, cocktails at sunset, and the ocean always within reach.
