Low cost dog spaying in Fulton county?

Low cost dog spaying in Fulton county?

I know a neglected female pitbull mix in Atlanta and she's in heat, possibly pregnant. I made an appointment at Lifeline but they're booked up until November. I've been trying to reach them but no one answers. Are there other low cost alternatives?

Good luck getting through to Lifeline's phones, they seem to be a black hole

You should check out Spay Neuter Vets in Alpharetta and Planned Pethood on Buford Hwy. They might be able to help you with the dog's spaying.

Planned Pethood might be an option - they offer spaying services for a 75-pound dog at around $200. The clinic is located about 50 miles away, but they have openings next week.

At that point, it's probably best to schedule a spay or abortion procedure, which many low-cost and vet clinics offer. If you make an appointment and they decline, that's not the end of the world.

I'm going to head down to the College Park clinic and see if someone will talk to me through the intercom.

You can check out their prices, but also consider the Friendly Finder program at Lifeline, which would get the dog vetted and spayed. Just go in and talk to them directly, as the shelter is quite busy.

Spot's website prices are outdated. They direct you to friendsofanimals.org to obtain the necessary certificates for dog spaying, which costs $330, a significant amount for a dog I don't know.

Atlanta Humane offers this service, but they're currently fully booked. They recommend visiting the Remedy clinic if you can't wait for an appointment.
