Located on Kedewatan’s scenic hillside, Satyanara is a new centre for contemporary art, cultural exchange, and creative ideas, connecting art, cultures, knowledge, ideas, and communities across Asia. This integrated art centre comprises several sand-coloured buildings arranged around an open-air amphitheatre, housing three gallery spaces, workshops, artist residencies, a café, and a retail area.

Satyanara: Ubud’s New Hub for Art and Cultural Exchange

More than an art centre, Satyanara provides a space for artists and contemporary art communities in Bali to conduct research, build professional networks, and expand their access to the art market. The centre offers a range of interactive programmes throughout the year, including professional development sessions, discussions, workshops, film screenings, and performances.

Satyanara presents three exhibitions, each with its own curatorial identity, running from 22 October 2026 to 30 September 2027. The exhibitions explore themes such as the use of color in Indonesian art, cultural landscapes, and the history of Chinese calligraphy.

Operating under Yayasan Satya Djaya Raya (YSDR), Satyanara welcomes visitors of all ages, including families, community groups, and students, to participate in its diverse artistic and cultural activities. All areas are wheelchair accessible. The centre is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 6pm. Admission is priced at IDR 30,000 per person for Balinese residents, IDR 75,000 for Indonesian citizens, and IDR 120,000 for international visitors.
