What are the main differences between La Veleta and Aldea Zama?

I'm looking for a place to stay in Tulum and I've heard these two neighborhoods are the best for their safety and proximity to the center. I've seen apartments in La Veleta, but the area around the complex is a bit run-down. I'm not sure if Aldea Zama is the same.

The main difference is that La Veleta's roads are not paved, while Aldea Zama's roads are all paved. Aldea Zama is safer, but it's not as lively as La Veleta.

La Valeta is a nice community located south of the center, with many restaurants and cafes, and the roads are being updated. Aldea Zama is a planned community with paved roads, and it's great for biking. It's located east of the center, and you'll want a bike or scooter to get around.

La Veleta is great if you choose a place close to Calle 7, where the roads are paved.

Aldea Zama can be scary at night, it's very dark.
