TOUS les JOURS Bakery Brings Playful Pastries to Toronto’s H Mart
Walking into a new bakery in Toronto can be a delightful treat, especially when it comes from one of South Korea’s top bakeries. TOUS les JOURS, known for its whimsical pastries and creamy breads, has just opened its doors in North York, much to the joy of expats and digital nomads like me, Giulia Marino, who moved to Toronto with two kids in 2023.

Founded in 1997, TOUS les JOURS has grown into a global brand with over 1,800 locations, making its debut in North America with a Canadian expansion in Calgary before coming to Toronto. The bakery is known for its soft breads and playful takes on classic French pastries. One of the most nostalgic options is the banana Nutella pastry, filled with creamy Nutella and sweet bananas inside a buttery, flaky puff pastry. There’s also a super-flaky yuzu pie, and traditional options like pain au raisin and chocolate-hazelnut croissants.
Some of the most tempting items are the filled breads. The soft choco bread hides a creamy chocolate center inside a pillowy exterior, with milk and strawberry versions available. The taro cream bread stands out with its purple hue, soft cream, and abundant taro flavor. The milk cream bread, a popular choice, combines pillowy bread with vanilla bean custard. For those who prefer something aromatic, the curry croquette is a must-try, stuffed with a sweet-and-savory curry potato filling.
