Toronto Blue Jays Fans Show Their Support in the Silliest Way
Following last year’s World Series run, Toronto Blue Jays fans decided to pay homage to their beloved broadcaster Hazel Mae in the most creative way possible. Several fans dressed up as Hazel Mae, the iconic Sportsnet Blue Jays reporter, and got into the Halloween spirit with her all-red, Canada-inspired pantsuit and a Sportsnet microphone in hand.

One fan even took it a step further and dressed as a Dodgers jersey with hands in the air, referencing the infamous play from Game 6 of the World Series where an Addison Barger hit became lodged in the outfield wall. Another couple dressed as Blue Jays catcher Alejandro Kirk, with one partner playing the stolen base.
While fans dressed as their favorite players or moments is not uncommon, the fans' decision to dress as Hazel Mae was a heartwarming and humorous tribute to one of their own. She herself, Hazel Mae, appeared to be quite pleased with her fans’ Halloween costumes, sharing photos of kids and adults dressed as her on her social media page.
With free agency opening soon and only 100-some odd days until Spring Training, fans will have plenty of time to get creative with their costumes and continue paying homage to their favorite Blue Jays personalities and moments.
