USF and USF St. Pete Offer Free Halloween Fun for Tampa Bay Families
It's that time of year again when the streets of Tampa and St. Petersburg come alive with the excitement of Halloween. The University of South Florida (USF) is hosting two family-friendly events, ensuring that expats and digital nomads can enjoy the holiday while exploring the local culture.

On October 29, the annual Trick or Treat with the Greeks event will take place on USF’s campus at Greek Village (4747 USF Birch Drive). This free event is open to the entire Tampa community and features games, activities, and of course, plenty of candy. As a language school owner in Tampa for nine years, I appreciate the inclusivity and safety that this event offers to families.
The next day, on October 30, USF St. Petersburg, in collaboration with Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital and the Tampa Bay Rays, will host the 5th Annual Halloween Fest. This event, taking place from 5:30 to 8:30 pm on campus (140 7th Ave S, St. Pete), promises a range of activities including a tent-or-treat down the campus Harbor Walk, a trunk-or-treat, a touch-a-truck, a spooky petting zoo, and special performances. Last year, this event attracted over 2,000 families, making it a must-visit for anyone looking for a fun, family-friendly Halloween experience.
If you're planning to explore the Halloween festivities in Tampa, make sure to mark these dates in your calendar. Both events are completely free and open to the public, providing a safe and enjoyable way to celebrate the holiday. Whether you're a resident or just visiting, these events are a great way to experience the Tampa spirit and connect with the local community.
