Tampa’s Favorite Sandwich Spot Spreads Its Sweet Tooth: Wright’s Market Opens in Hyde Park
It's official: Wright’s Gourmet House, the beloved Tampa sandwich spot with a storied 63-year history, is expanding its offerings with a new bakery at Oxford Exchange in Hyde Park. The market, opening on Tuesday, October 20, will bring Wright’s famous bakery treats to locals and visitors alike, offering a convenient way to grab a quick cake or pastry for the weekend or a host gift.

Located next to the bookstore at 420 W Kennedy Blvd, the Oxford Exchange market will offer a wide array of bakery favorites, including cakes, pastries, breads, cookies, and other treats. Alongside the sweet offerings, customers can also find bottled sauces, bucket bread loaves, pints of icing, take-and-bake cinnamon rolls, and branded merchandise. The market will be open seven days a week from 7:30 am, 5:30 pm, making it easy for locals to stop by for a quick treat or to stock up on familiar favorites.
While the new market won’t replace the original location in South Tampa (1200 S Dale Mabry Hwy), it will offer a new option for those looking for Wright’s premium goods in a more convenient setting. The market will also serve as a home for seasonal product drops, tastings, gifting moments, and wedding cake consultations.
