Lilac at The Tampa EDITION Launches New Tasting Menu: A Must-Try for Expats and Digital Nomads
Recently, I had the pleasure of trying out the new tasting menu at Lilac, a Michelin-starred Mediterranean restaurant at The Tampa EDITION. As an accountant based in Tampa, I can confidently say it was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in the city. Chef John Fraser’s innovative menu, featuring fresh Florida seafood and European-inspired flavors, is a feast for the senses.

The six-course tasting menu ($225 per person) starts with canapés and the most amazing warm milk bread, which I am still dreaming about. The intimate green dining room, open kitchen, and attentive service make every bite a memorable experience. My highlights included the Snapper Crudo, Truffle Tajarin with hand-cut pasta, and Diver Scallops with pine nut risotto. The wine and cocktail pairings were equally impressive, with a new sparkling wine cart offering cocktails inspired by France, Spain, and Greece.
The service was outstanding, with the staff being both welcoming and knowledgeable. They were accommodating to dietary preferences, and a fully vegetarian menu is available as well. This dining experience is a splurge but definitely worth it for a special occasion or just to treat yourself to a memorable night out in Tampa.
