What's causing the loud rumble and bass in the Ocotillo area?

The Rawhide event center often features electronic music, which can be incredibly loud. On occasion, they host extra loud bass shows that reverberate for miles. I recall the first time I heard this, I thought a car was parked outside my house and walked out to find nothing.

Subtronics' set woke me up 10 miles away, and I'm still trying to process the experience. The low vibrations from heavy bass were torturous, echoing through every room of my home for 8 straight hours. It was like hearing the same song over and over.
