What's the size of the Chinese community in Panama City?

The community is quite large and well-integrated into Panamanian society. Many of its members are native Spanish speakers and have Panamanian names. They are also Panamanian citizens, which can be a surprise for visitors from North America who encounter Asian individuals speaking fluent Panamanian Spanish.

Many of the community members are quite entrepreneurial, with some owning small businesses and others working in various industries. For example, I've seen a number of them running restaurants and shops in the area.
