Panama City egg donation compensation too low?

健康与保健 3 answers • Dmitri Orlov
I've been watching videos about egg donation in Panama and they mention getting paid around $1,000 to $1,500, which seems low compared to other countries where it costs around $5,000 per process. What do you think? Has anyone already gone through this process?

It's not worth it, considering the amount of hormones and treatment involved, not to mention the potential side effects.

It's too cheap for the pain and time it involves.

Yes, a friend of mine went through it and it's a lengthy process involving exams, psychological tests, treatments, and multiple clinic visits. Although they cover the costs, it's still painful and takes time. On the day of the egg retrieval, you need to be accompanied and it's an outpatient procedure. You wait for about an hour, are given something to eat, and then you're paid $800 in a check that you need to exchange for cash at a bank.
