What's happening to the hotel above Chef's Table?

A building in Orlando has been acquired, and it's expected to undergo renovations to become a contemporary luxury hotel.

The Edgewater has had a tumultuous history. It initially opened in 1927 as a 53-room hotel after being built in 1926, but it ceased operations in 1968. The property was later revived in the early 2000s as a 44-room bed and breakfast, only to close again in 2025 when it was sold to a new owner. Plans are reportedly underway to transform it into a boutique hotel, similar to the owner's other project on Plant Street.
