I'm a New Yorker who's been noticing a certain sweet perfume everywhere in the city lately. It's driving me insane because I can smell it on almost every young person in the subway.

I think it might be a specific perfume, but I've also heard it compared to a certain body butter from a popular grocery store on 3rd Avenue.

Not only is it on every person, but it's also everywhere - in lobbies, hotels, and even on flights. I've joked that it's what Miami smells like, and now I see that NYC is following suit.

The smell of laundry detergent pods can be overwhelming, and I often find myself covering my nose when I'm on a crowded subway train and someone nearby is wearing the scent. It's not a pleasant experience.
