How much do you usually tip on food delivery apps, like DoorDash or UberEats, for a $35 order?

I'm trying to decide how much to tip for food delivery, and I've heard some people never tip and others give a few bucks or a standard percentage.

I usually tip between $3 and $5, depending on the distance.

I don't think the percentage of the food price has any relation to the delivery situation. I tip based on the distance and the number of bags or plates the driver has to carry.

I've started tipping $5 flat, regardless of the order amount. I don't think the driver's level of involvement should change based on the order amount.

I agree with you for the most part, but I'd tip more if the order is massive, like for a big party, or if there's a snowstorm or heavy rain making the delivery more challenging.

I'm a cheapskate and I usually go pick up my food myself. If there's no delivery fee, I'll tip 10% because the delivery fee is supposed to pay the driver. But if there is a delivery fee, I wouldn't tip anything. But since that doesn't work, I just give up.
