La Gruta - issues with just dessert?
My family and I will be visiting in March and wanted to go to La Gruta while on a daytrip to the Teotihuacán pyramids. It looks like the meals are not well reviewed but we do want to experience the atmosphere of La Gruta. Do you think it would be OK for us to go just for dessert, or are there any rules around that sort of thing?

We stopped for breakfast on our way through, but I was underwhelmed overall. It felt like a novelty rather than a genuine dining experience. I'd much rather stumble upon a small, family-run fonda serving authentic Mexican cuisine.

Our tour guide, who was with a reputable company, recommended skipping La Gruta and suggested a few alternative places he preferred. We ended up at Conejo en la Luna, where we enjoyed tasty tacos and drinks. I even picked up a bottle of mezcal to take home, as I knew it was a unique find that wouldn't be available elsewhere.
