What's the best mountain to climb in Nong Khiaw for a sunrise view with minimal crowds?
I'm planning to watch the sunrise from a mountain in Nong Khiaw and want to avoid big groups. I'd prefer a mountain with minimal camping or a quiet spot.

When I booked a tour, I noticed the group size was quite small, with only four people, including myself.

During my stay in Nong Khiaw, I climbed four peaks. The only one without any signs of camping was the Sleeping Lady Viewpoint. However, this spot isn't ideal for sunrise viewing. I climbed Pha Daeng at 4:30 am and stayed at the eco farm hostel. There were approximately eight people camping on the peak, and they were considerate, keeping quiet. Pha Mery is likely to be quieter, but it's a more challenging climb, and the starting point is farther from town. The tour operators seem to rotate the peaks where people camp, so it's hard to predict which one you'll end up at.
