Why do drivers in La Libertad not give way?
I've noticed that drivers in La Libertad often don't give way to others trying to merge into traffic, even when it's clear they're trying to. It's frustrating and makes the roads seem chaotic. I'm not sure if it's a cultural thing or just a sign of disrespect for others.

I think it's a matter of ego. I've had people yell at me for giving them the opportunity to merge, and I've even had taxi drivers cut me off without warning. It's like they think they're above the law. As a responsible driver, I try to stay calm and follow the rules, but it's hard when others aren't doing the same.

It's definitely a regional thing. I've noticed that in areas with higher socioeconomic status, like Antiguo Cuscatlán or Santa Tecla, drivers are even more aggressive. They seem to think they're above the law and can do whatever they want. It's like they're trying to prove something.
