I went to get a coffee today and the place was shut down with a notice on the door. The notice said the locks had been changed and the tenant's right to possession had been terminated, but the lease wasn't terminated. I've never heard of this place before, but it sounds like they weren't paying the rent.

To be honest, I've never been a fan of the coffee they served there. It was overpriced and under quality, and the location was a nightmare to park at, especially in a city like Houston that's designed for cars.

To be fair, the area has been plagued by issues such as a lack of parking, inadequate public transportation, and limited nearby street parking. Good luck finding a solution to these problems.

The demise of a large boutique suggests that relying solely on a popular coffee stand may not be enough to sustain a business. Converting the entire space into a single coffee shop and cafe could have been a more viable option.

I visited the store once and was disappointed to find that they didn't offer testers for their products. When I asked a staff member about this, she laughed at me and suggested that I could simply read the product label to determine its scent.

Apparently, the business wasn't paying its rent, which is likely a major contributing factor to its downfall.

A soulless coffee shop with a pretentious name opened during a wave of gentrification, and it's no surprise that it was eventually priced out of its location. This outcome was predictable, but I have no actual expertise to back it up.

According to social media, the original owners sold the business on June 9th, which coincidentally is the same date as the most recent lease amendment. It's remarkable that the new owners managed to tank the business in just four months, a truly impressive feat.

That's quite an impressive achievement, actually. Typically, it takes at least a year to plan out a business after a deal is finalized. It's likely that the new owners were able to secure easy money, allowing them to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams without much effort or commitment.
