I'm looking for a place to sit and talk with a friend, not a bar or restaurant, but somewhere comfortable to catch up for an hour or two. We ended up back at my apartment, but she wanted to get out of the house. I'm wondering if there are any places like that in Halifax.

I was at a park in my neighborhood and noticed a field divided into 2x2 25m squares. I've seen kids playing soccer there, but I'm not sure what sport uses this layout.

I've noticed that only the Nestle Halloween boxes of Smarties, Kit Kat, Coffee Crisp, and one other variety are available at the local grocery stores I've visited, but not the seasonal Mars, Twix, or Snickers bars. The shelves are not even fully stocked, with no tags on the products.

I've been tracking the numbers in Timberlea and got about 75 so far, but I miss the annual count that used to be recorded.

I recently moved to Nova Scotia and have my health card number, but haven’t received my physical card yet. I was previously prescribed Xanax by my doctor overseas, but I’ve run out and am struggling without it. I've had bloodwork done numerous times in the last six months as I've been trying to conceive / experienced pregnancy loss. Ever since YourHealthNS changed to displaying bloodwork results 24h after they are available to your provider, I find my results are usually there within a few days of me having the blood drawn (sometimes sooner). I had bloodwork done last Tuesday (a week now) at the Woodlawn medical blood collection site … and it’s still visible not on YHNS. Has anyone ever experienced a delay like this? (I am stressed because this was my first set of labs with HCG to confirm a pregnancy after my first positive home test since my miscarriage).

My partner and I are thinking of booking a stay in mid-November for two nights, and I’m curious what the atmosphere is like. What’s the nightlife like there? Is it pretty quiet, or is there much going on? Would we be better off heading downtown to find a lively pub or somewhere with a good atmosphere?
