Where can I swim laps in Dallas after work?

I live in East Dallas and work in the Downtown/Arts District area, and I'm looking for a pool where I can swim laps around 6 PM without having to drive too far out of my way. I used to swim at the Lake Highlands YMCA, but their lap swimming schedule is inconvenient for me.

Any LA Fitness location has a lap pool. There's one situated near the intersection of Haskell and 75.

Mesquite Natatorium appears to be a nice facility, offering good hours of operation. It's approximately 15 minutes away from your location, assuming normal traffic conditions. However, you should be prepared for rush hour traffic and exercise caution when driving.

Cowboys Fit, located in East Dallas, features a 25-meter lap pool. Membership costs may vary, but the pool and locker rooms are generally well-maintained. I found it easy to secure a lane after work hours during my time in the area, which includes Deep Ellum and Hollywood Heights.

I didn't usually encounter crowds during my visits. I stopped by around 6:15 pm after work and was able to secure a lane to myself, although I did occasionally have to share. Please note that this was before the facility was remodeled and rebranded as Cowboys Fit, so it may be busier now. It's still worth checking out.
