What are the random fines I might get in Sharjah as a resident of DIP?

I've been getting fines from Sharjah municipality every week from 24 Aug till 28 Sep of AED 150 each saying “failure to purchase a valid ticket” I haven’t been to Sharjah in atleast 4-5 months. Why is this happening? My car was due for renewal last month(Sep2026). Now I can’t use my car at all bcuz driving an unregistered/expired license car gets u 500AED fine and 4 black points, I think. Is someone using my license plate in Sharjah or a possible error in scanning by a camera?

Sharjah paid parking fines are assigned based on the plate number digits and emirate without a code. It's possible that someone with the same digits as your plate number but a different code has accumulated parking fines and had them transferred to your account. This issue has occurred in the past and still happens today.

I had a similar experience where I was asked to drive to Sharjah to complain in person, which was a significant inconvenience. They couldn't provide any proof of the tickets, and the Sharjah municipality's limited hours and poor phone service made it difficult to resolve the issue. I ended up paying the fines to renew my car.
