I'm getting frustrated with my morning commute on PGBT and I wonder if anyone else has noticed this. It seems like some cops are driving recklessly, tailgating, and not merging out of the passing lane, which is causing a huge backup of traffic. I'm not sure if this is a common issue or if it's just a few bad apples.

When a police officer is driving on the highway, people tend to behave erratically. Their main concern is getting pulled over for speeding, which is a common reason for traffic stops. If police officers focused more on safety and regulatory infractions, public perception might shift. I've noticed a lot of vehicles with unsecured loads and drivers without license plates, which is more frequent than it should be in this city. Furthermore, I've seen these instances go unnoticed by police officers who seem uninterested in enforcing the law.

One frustrating situation is when a police officer is driving in the express lane at a moderate speed, causing everyone behind them to slow down to match their pace. As a result, drivers in the regular lanes are speeding past, creating a hazardous situation.

The fear of being pulled over by a police officer, even when they're not the one speeding, leads to a phenomenon where drivers hesitate to pass them. This causes a massive traffic jam, with drivers stuck behind the police vehicle for miles rather than taking the risk of passing.

I live in Lake Worth and often see a Dallas police officer driving in the area. About six months ago, I witnessed an incident on 820 during the construction phase. The road was down to two lanes, with a closed left lane and barrels blocking the way. The I-35 entrance was congested due to a wreck. As we sat in traffic, an emergency vehicle appeared in the closed left lane, speeding by with its lights on. To my surprise, it was the Dallas police officer who had decided to use the closed lane.

It appears that some police officers prioritize their own interests over public service.
