I'm an Argentine who visits Cancún a couple of times a year, and I'm planning to book a stay at RIU Palace Kukulkan with two friends. We'd like a room with two beds, but the hotel can't guarantee it, so I'm looking for advice on how likely we'll get our preferred room type.

I've had mixed experiences with king-sized beds at different resorts. Both times I stayed at a resort with a similar setup, the king-sized beds were made by pushing two beds together. I've never stayed at that specific location, but it's possible this is a common practice across many resorts.

I've stayed at this resort twice. From what I observed while they were cleaning rooms, the ocean-view rooms had king-sized beds, while the garden-view rooms had two double beds. Overall, it's a great resort.
