Young Filmmaker to Document Tihosuco’s Living Memory

After being chosen by the PECDA Quintana Roo 2026, Marcos Ismael Manzan Poot, a young creator from Tihosuco, will produce a documentary series titled “Voces de Tihosuco: Serie Documental sobre Memoria Viva Comunitaria.”

The project, which will receive financial support, aims to preserve and promote the memory of Quintana Roo’s communities, strengthening their identity and cultural heritage.

Marcos Ismael Manzan Poot graduated from the Intercultural Maya University of Quintana Roo (UIMQROO) with a degree in Information and Communication Technologies. His selection recognizes the talent of young creators in the state and highlights his commitment to cultural projects.
