Navigating Puenteando: Public Transport and Bike Routes for Cancún Residents and Visitors
The fourth edition of Puenteando, themed “Dulce o Truco,” is set to take place this Sunday, 25th of October, from 17:00 to 21:00 hours at the Puente Nichupté. As an expat living in Cancún, I’ve been keeping an eye on how to make the most of this event, and here’s what you need to know about getting there.

Public Transport Routes: For those relying on public transport, the route 27 is the primary option. Additionally, the 11, 44, 26, 21, 23, 69, 8, and 33 routes also pass through the area, making it convenient to get to the event from the Avenida Kabah with Avenida Nichupté. For those in the Zona Hotelera, the 1, 2, and 2-15 routes are recommended.
Bike Access: Cyclists have three designated access points:
- Avenida Kabah: Extend your route from the Parque de la Equidad.
- Avenida Bonampak: Park at the Tajamar Malecón and use the Bonampak bike path.
- Zona Hotelera: Use the Kukulcán boulevard bike path to enter the event.
Whichever mode of transport you choose, make sure to plan ahead and consult the maps for the best route. The event is a great opportunity to enjoy Halloween-themed activities on the Puente Nichupté, so don’t forget to come dressed in your best costume!
