Claudia Sheinbaum Visits Chetumal to Supervise Healthcare Projects
The President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, is scheduled to visit Chetumal this Friday to oversee hospital construction projects and review IMSS-Bienestar facilities. Sheinbaum's visit comes as part of a broader effort to strengthen healthcare services in the Yucatan Peninsula. She will also meet with representatives from the IMSS-Bienestar to discuss new clinics in Quintana Roo.

Her trip to Chetumal includes a review of the Maternal and Child Hospital project and a unit under the IMSS-Bienestar system. The visit is expected to provide updates on the progress of these projects, which include new clinic constructions in the state.
Following her Chetumal visit, Sheinbaum will continue her tour of the Yucatan Peninsula, with plans to visit Yucatan and Campeche during the weekend. During her Yucatan visit, Sheinbaum will inaugurate housing projects under the Viviendas para el Bienestar program, and in Campeche, she will launch the Ciudad del Carmen General Hospital.
This trip aims to highlight the importance of healthcare infrastructure and services in the region, with Chetumal being a key focus of the healthcare projects discussed.
