Chetumal's SIPINNA Launches Digital Parenting Workshop for Families
Chetumal's SIPINNA, the Sistema de Protección Integral de Niñas, Niños y Adolescentes (Sistema de Protección Integral de Niñas, Niños y Adolescentes), has initiated a digital parenting workshop aimed at teaching parents how to use controls and monitor their children's digital activities responsibly. The workshop is part of a broader initiative to promote safe and responsible use of technology among children and adolescents, particularly in the municipality of Othón P. Blanco.

Guadalupe Higareda Basulto, the executive secretary of SIPINNA in Othón P. Blanco, emphasized the importance of fostering responsible digital habits among children. She noted that the initiative includes the use of parental controls and the supervision of children by parents, guardians, and educators to prevent children from becoming victims of crimes through digital platforms.
Higareda Basulto also highlighted the collaboration between SIPINNA and the Cyber Police to ensure the protection of children from any potential risks. She stated that SIPINNA has not received any direct reports of cases related to these risks but is committed to working in coordination with the Cyber Police.
The SIPINNA initiative is seen as a proactive measure to support families in navigating the digital landscape, ensuring that children can enjoy the benefits of modern technology without exposing themselves to potential risks.
