Cancún’s New Initiative: Building Resilience in Kids Through Play and Reflection
Hey there, expats and digital nomads in Playa del Carmen! Have you heard about the exciting new initiative in town aimed at fostering resilience in our little ones? This isn’t just any old after-school program; it’s a chance for kids aged 6 to 11 to learn valuable life skills through play and reflection. Let me break it down for you.

Starting this Saturday, October 3rd, the “Semillas de Resiliencia y Optimismo” (Seeds of Resilience and Optimism) course will run for eight Saturdays. Each session, from 10 AM to 1 PM, will be packed with activities that combine play, reflection, and social interaction. The brains behind this are Brenda Olguín Sánchez, a maestrante in Psychopedagogy, who will guide the kids through exercises that strengthen their emotional and social intelligence. It's a smart way to ensure our children are prepared for life’s challenges.
But wait, there’s more! The program isn’t just for kids. Parents and caregivers are invited to attend a session to learn how to continue these practices at home. This is a fantastic opportunity to ensure our kids aren’t the only ones growing.
If you or someone you know is interested, you can sign up by calling 442 147 4338. It’s a win-win situation: our kids learn, and we get to support them better. So, why not join in and help build a more resilient community?
