Toronto Expats: Save on Gas This Week with National Fuel Day
With gas prices on the rise, it's great news for Canadian expats and digital nomads based in Toronto that the federal government has extended its fuel excise tax relief until January 31, 2027. This relief saves drivers 10 cents per litre on gas and four cents per litre on diesel, which is a welcome break, especially for those frequently commuting or on the road.

However, to maximize your savings, consider visiting participating Circle K and Couche-Tard gas stations on Thursday, October 15, between 3 and 7 p.m. local time. This is part of the National Fuel Day event, which offers an additional 10 cents off per litre. There's also an opportunity to save 10 cents per litre earlier in the day if you use the Circle K app between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. for drivers in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, the Northwest Territories, and British Columbia.
Timing your trip to the pump can make a difference, so plan ahead to avoid the rush. These savings might be just the boost you need to make your daily commute or road trips a bit more affordable.
