Bali Boosts Local Monitoring for Foreign Nationals in Tabanan

Tabanan, Bali, Immigration authorities in Bali are stepping up their game by closely monitoring foreign nationals at the village level, particularly in Nyambu and Kaba-Kaba villages in Kediri District. This move, spearheaded by the Tabanan Immigration Office, aims to address potential vulnerabilities and improve coordination with local communities.

Head of the Tabanan Immigration Office, Andhika Rahadiansyah, explained that the initiative is aimed at preventing issues like misuse of residence permits and human trafficking. Residents are encouraged to report any concerns, with village officers making regular visits to ensure compliance with immigration regulations.

While the program cannot be rolled out to every village due to limited personnel, the office hopes to have at least one Immigration Village Officer in each village in the future. This gradual expansion is expected to enhance the flow of information and address issues more promptly.
