What's going on with all the fake Tesla Robotaxi rides in my neighborhood?

I live off MLK just east of 183 and have noticed dozens of gold Tesla Robotaxis coming and going through my neighborhood every day. They seem to be stopping at the same spots and the people getting out don't live in the houses. I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed this in other parts of town recently and if Tesla is just trying to pump up their exposure and numbers with paid 'fake' passengers.

The training process for the model involves people taking breaks and simulating ride scenarios. These individuals, including 'golden glove' drivers, provide feedback on how the system handles edge cases. This feedback is crucial in making the system safe, and it will continue for a while. The model is designed to learn from these interactions and improve its performance.

They are absolutely not done testing, there's still a lot to improve

It's surprising that testing hasn't stopped yet. One would think that the goal is to ensure the system is functioning correctly before it's released to the public.
