The Waluhaje Hotel (now Heritage Village West)

The Waluhaje Hotel, a large black-owned and operated hotel on the west side, still exists and was recently redeveloped after serving for many years as the home of 'Job Corps'.

The hotel now features an interior layout with a grocery store, laundromat, and ballroom that acted as a jazz club.
