Is the Village parade less exciting now?

I've been watching the parade on YouTube TV and it seems quieter than I remember it being in the past. I'm not sure if it's just because it's early in the evening or if there's something else going on.

It's been a tough year for the city, and I think that's reflected in the parade. People are just not as happy or carefree as they used to be.

I'm not a big fan of the parade myself. The crowds are overwhelming, and the prices for drinks and food are tripled because of the event. It's just not my scene.

I think it's because of the economy and the current political climate. The city just doesn't feel the same as it used to, and that's reflected in the parade.

For me, the biggest issue is the NYPD crowd control. It's really restrictive, and you can't just wander around the parade route like you used to. It's a real bummer.
