I drive a sedan and I'm medium height, my driving seat is adjusted at highest possible level, still sometimes I have a little hard time to see the lane markings at intersections, specially the guiding left turn markings.

When driving in winter conditions, it's best to be flexible and use your best judgment. However, if you're unsure about the road markings, it's better to err on the side of caution and slow down.

Following the tracks of the cars ahead of you can be a good way to navigate through snow-covered roads.

To stay safe on snowy roads, consider investing in new wiper blades and snow tires. The lanes are usually marked on a pole, but if not, the lanes that widen are often the turning lanes. For example, on Bloor Street and Sherbourne going west, the lane that widens on the left is the turning lane to go south. Winter driving requires more space and time, so be sure to leave plenty of room between you and other vehicles. If it's sunny, consider wearing sunglasses, as glare from wet roads can be intense.

This advice is helpful, and I would add that accelerating and decelerating slowly can also be beneficial. Most drivers are understanding, but if someone honks at you for being cautious, it's best to ignore them and focus on your own driving. Many people on the road appreciate a driver's care and caution.
