Canada Strong Pass Returns in 2027 with Exciting New Perks
As expats and digital nomads in Toronto, we're excited to share some good news: the Canada Strong Pass is set to return in 2027 with a new twist. After a successful run in the previous two years, the federal government has announced that the pass will continue to offer Canadians and international tourists discounted travel and free admission to various sites, but with some additional perks.

The Canada Strong Pass first launched on June 20, 2025, and was available until September 2 of that year. It returned in 2026, providing Canadians with access to Parks Canada sites, museums, galleries, and VIA Rail. The pass offered free entry to all national historic sites, national parks, and national marine conservation areas operated by Parks Canada, along with discounts on camping and overnight accommodations, and reduced entry fees at participating museums and galleries.
For 2027, the pass is expected to include expanded access to Indigenous-led museums and cultural centres. Additionally, Budget 2026 proposes to permanently make admission to Canada’s national museums free year-round for children and youth under 25, with $46.3 million allocated over five years starting in 2026-27, and $11.5 million ongoing.
This news is particularly exciting for families like mine, who love exploring the outdoors and cultural sites. While the pass will be available for a limited time, it's a fantastic opportunity for us to make the most of our time in Toronto and take advantage of these discounts.
