I own a taco stand in Santurce and I've noticed that some dentists are still charging Covid fees, which seems unfair. I'm wondering if anyone knows why this is still happening.

Covid-19 cases are still being reported in Puerto Rico, so it's possible that dentists are still charging fees to cover the costs of personal protective equipment and testing.

I understand that dentists need to cover their costs, but charging $107 for three minors for a Covid fee seems outrageous.

That's a pretty high fee, it's like the 'bandejas' they used to charge for surgery.

You can try contacting Daco, they might be able to help you understand why the fee is still being charged.

I was told to contact the Colegio de Dentistas, maybe they can do something about it since our government hasn't passed a law to stop the fee.

They're charging me $25 to $30 for PPE because of the COVID risks, but I've never seen them work without masks and gloves before.

It's like what barbers did, they raised their prices for masks and alcohol at first, and now they're charging double what they used to, $40 instead of $16.
