What does it really cost to live in Interlomas?

I've seen a Vait AI real estate analysis that says the median price in Interlomas is about MXN $55,807 per m², and the median price for a department is around MXN $9,978,250. Does that match what you're seeing? Which areas do you recommend for renting or buying?

Interlomas is a neighborhood that's very hostile to pedestrians and designed with cars in mind. The public transportation is nonexistent, the traffic is chaotic, and you'll need a car to get around. If you still want to live in Interlomas, consider living in the surrounding areas instead.

I prefer Polanco because it's more pedestrian-friendly and everything I need is within a 10-15 minute bike ride.

The high cost of living in certain areas of Mexico City will be the need for a car to get around comfortably and the tedious traffic. My parents live in a nearby area and it's a beautiful place.

I live nearby and I avoid Interlomas unless I need to go to Costco. I've seen relatively affordable apartments, but I don't recommend the area for families.

Keep in mind that 50% of the new developments in Interlomas don't have drainage and you'll need to buy water by the truckload and have a septic tank that you'll need to clean every year, which costs around MXN $10,000 per year if you have a single-family home. A car is essential, and the prices of goods are higher than usual.
