ADIB account frozen under compliance review, no access to funds. What to do?

My ADIB account was frozen on September 15th under an internal compliance review (Clause 3.6) and I'm running out of money for food and rent. I've visited the flagship branches and called multiple times, but they refuse to unblock it or allow an emergency cash withdrawal while the 'back-office review' is running.

No, I visit the branch and ask the manager, I'm fully ready to cooperate, but they just say wait for the bank to call you.

I haven't gone through this, but I've had bad experiences with banks. Raising a complaint with the UAE central bank might help, it forces the bank to reach out to you.

I already raised a complaint in Sanadak, but the bank submitted a report saying the account is under review, so there's no timeframe, and Sanadak rejected my complaint.

I know a woman who's had her ADIB account locked every time her husband transfers money to her, ADIB is the worst bank.

My friend had a similar issue with another UAE bank, they said it was an AML investigation, but after months of no feedback, she went to the main branch and said she wanted to close the account, and they dropped the investigation.

Thank you, I'll try that, but last time I said I wanted to close the account, they refused due to the investigation.

I had a heated argument with a bank over a similar issue. They were dealing with business banking, refused to close the account, but continued to process incoming payments. This caused problems for three weeks. Eventually, I escalated the matter on social media and it was resolved the following day.
