The party, Morena, still hasn't defined who will lead the Coordination of Defense of Transformation and National Sovereignty in Quintana Roo, a position that will be crucial for the 2027 elections. With five prominent names-Alexa Murguía, Ana Paty Peralta, Gino Segura, Marybel Villegas, and Rafael Marín-still in the running, the situation remains fluid.
This uncertainty, while it might seem distant to those of us in the expat and digital nomad community, is part of the fabric of daily life here. It's a reminder that political changes can affect everything from local services to the broader community dynamics.
