Did your sequined costume survive the Carnival parade?

A stranger's sequined costume split along the back ten minutes before the Carnival parade at the Plaza de España. A few people appeared out of nowhere with safety pins, tape and a stapler. In a couple of minutes the stranger was back in line, glittering, with a very small paper clip on one shoulder. I was one of them. I held the stapler. I think of it as my parade. I still do not know who it was.
