Tekken community in Panama City, is it toxic

Tekken community in Panama City, is it toxic?

Inne 2 tyg. temu 6 answers •

I was playing Tekken with my friend and we met some Panamanians online, but they were really unfriendly and made us feel unwelcome. We used to play with a group of people from the city and the provinces, but they got really exclusive and wouldn't play with us unless we met in person.

Yes, the gaming community is generally toxic.

I've been playing fighting games for a long time, and I can confirm that the FG community in Panama is not great. People don't help each other improve and they just trash talk. It's not just Tekken, Street Fighter is also pretty bad. I recommend finding people to play with outside of Panama and practicing in training mode, then entering online tournaments.

I'm not a competitive player, I just play with my friend who likes it more. I don't plan on creating a community, but it would be cool to play with people from Panama because the connection is good. Unfortunately, that's not what you usually find.

I play Tekken and I used to participate in tournaments in Panama. I like meeting people from Panama to play with, but I don't play as much as I used to.

That's why they say that there's no worse enemy than another Panamanian. Panamanians are always looking for ways to sabotage each other and increase their ego. You'll find the worst communities in Panama, there's never peace or unity.

The niches in Panama are a gamble; you might find a small community where everyone is friendly, or you might find a group of weirdos who are toxic. You never know what you're going to get. But don't get discouraged, you'll always find people who are exceptions to the rule. Maybe you can even create your own community.
