Why aren't people pulling over for ambulances and fire trucks in the San Fernando Valley?

I live in the San Fernando Valley, where I've owned a cafe for years, dealing with suppliers, staff, and paperwork every week. I've noticed people not pulling over for ambulances and fire trucks, which is a new behavior for me after living in LA for over 20 years. I'm wondering when this started and why it's become a problem in my area.

As someone who worked in EMS, I can tell you that it's getting even worse. People are becoming more and more reckless when it comes to pulling over for emergency vehicles.

It's infuriating when a car behind tries to overtake after a fire truck has passed, as if they're in a competition to see who can get to the next intersection first.

The lack of enforcement has contributed to a disturbing trend, where drivers see the sirens as an opportunity to tailgate and take advantage of the situation.

I'm not surprised by the behavior of some LA drivers, considering the city's reputation for reckless driving.

The absence of consequences for reckless driving in LA has led to a complete disregard for traffic rules, with drivers showing no regard for the well-being of others.
