My bowl from Thanh Ha leans left and I would not change it

On a Thursday afternoon in the pottery village of Thanh Ha I tried to make a bowl and produced something between a hat and a mistake. The potter, an older man with clay up to his elbows, took my wet clay, spun it back into shape, then put my hands on top of his and made one bowl with me. It leans left. It is my favourite object. He did not charge me. I asked how much and he said, you make, I only help. It is the only bowl in my kitchen and it holds exactly one egg.
