Electricity bill over 1000 for a 3 bedroom apartment with two mini splits?

I own a guesthouse in Santurce and my electricity bill is more than my apartment. The bill claims I use over 3000 kw but only have two mini splits and they run at 75. My landlord doesn't care and Luma won't respond. I've reduced usage by 15 percent last month but the bill went way up because of fuel charges. Does anyone know any way to combat this? I'm thinking of just closing the account and reopening under my boyfriend's name to see if there is any change.

I'm not sure that makes sense, considering our similar location has bills ranging from $250 to $300. It's possible that you're being charged for multiple apartments. An electrician might be able to help identify the issue.

Three apartments in the same building wouldn't account for that kind of expense. It's utterly absurd. Perhaps an electrician could assist you in resolving the matter, rather than relying on Luma's staff?

I'm not an expert, but it's well-known that LUMA isn't proactive in addressing issues.

You could either contact Luma, given that it's already the third bill, or hire a private electrician to investigate. I would suggest the latter option, as it would provide evidence that Luma can't dispute.

That bill is excessively high. I recommend hiring an electrician to investigate the cause of the issue.

An electrician would likely be the most cost-effective first step to take in this situation.

It appears that a compressor is running continuously, possibly contributing to the high bill.
