Why ignore no-parking signs?

We got notice a week or so ago that they were going to shut down an intersection near us for the upgrades. At the beginning of this week, the traffic was rerouted down a very narrow residential street and the city put out their mobile no parking signs on one side of the street. Transit buses are now navigating this, along with all the rerouted traffic to/from Sarcee plus the regular local traffic.

Living near the affected area, I can attest that the morning commute has become much more chaotic. The detour is particularly congested, often accommodating only one car at a time. Some drivers seem unwilling to yield or take turns, exacerbating the situation.

I share your frustration with this situation. The detour near the Bowness Superstore has become a source of frustration for me as well. It's disheartening to see people disregarding no-parking signs and parking on the side of the road.
