10 Parks and Gardens for a Fall Picnic in Calgary
It’s officially fall in Calgary, and the city's parks and gardens are perfect for a picnic. As a Brazilian retiree living in Calgary for three years, I’ve found some of my favorite spots to enjoy the changing leaves and mild weather. Here are 10 parks and gardens worth visiting:

Bowness Park

Botanical Gardens of Silver Springs
37 Silver Springs Dr. NW, Calgary, Alta. A volunteer-run space with over 30 garden rooms and picnic tables.
Carburn Park
67 Riverview Dr. SE, Calgary, Alta. Two man-made ponds, trails, and picnic tables surrounded by trees.
Prince’s Island Park
698 Eau Claire Ave. SW, Calgary, Alta. A green oasis in downtown Calgary with changing leaves and views of the skyline.
Reader Rock Garden

Edworthy Park
