My wife and I are traveling in late November and returning on December 10th. We're considering booking two separate flights with a 6-hour layover at BKK. Our flight from BKK will be with China southern airlines.

If your flight is on schedule, you'll have plenty of time to spare. However, delays from the airline can throw off your plans.
