I'm heading to Chaengwattana to renew my visa, but I've heard the 2-day office closure has caused a huge backlog. I got a queue number this morning, but I'm not sure how long I'll have to wait. Has anyone else been there today?

I visited the desk and they informed me that they would remain open. I arrived at 6:45 PM and was assigned a number similar to yours.

If you receive a number, you're likely to be seen, so it's possible you'll be processed today. However, the wait might be extremely long.

In general, you should be seen as long as you have a ticket. But these are unusual circumstances, and they might send you home. If they continue operating, I doubt you'll get your passport back before midnight, especially with a 2-day backlog.
